   Thanks for this David. I’m reading that Mancozeb is a fungicide. Will it also control Xanthomonas bacteria?

     Tom,
     Yes, surprisingly, Mancozeb does have efficacy for bacterial spot. you are right to question as most fungicides do not have bactericidal activity. It works best when used with copper, but does have some level of direct efficacy. I would consider adding it to help increase the efficacy of copper – especially since the rates used for in-season copper sprays are quite low. It also has activity against other fungal diseases (e.g. scab) which makes it a tank mix partner worth considering.
