June 25, 2013Will the light rain in the Merced area promote and spread this disease?
David Doll
June 25, 2013I dont think enough rain fell in the area to increase the amount of disease. Even though we dont know much about its epidemiology, we suspect that it behaves similar to walnut blight. With that in mind, a warm rain that would trigger a spray by the Xanthocast model would indicate an infection period for this bacterium as well.
